FOR ALL ETERNITY

This was a great day for me. To witness my best friend be sealed to her sweetheart in the Draper Temple was joyful. Laura and I met in 1988 in a little branch of the church on Long Island New York. She had lost her membership in the church some time prior and was working on coming back and be baptized. I gave her a Book of Mormon with a picture of our little family on the inside cover along with our testimony. We became friends right at the get go. She was re-baptized and her testimony has become unwavering. She moved out to Utah a few years after our family returned. Through several other marriages that failed, challenges with her health, hardships financially, tremendous trials with her children, she has always been the most giving, compassionate, solid friend I have ever had and always held her testimony to the for front of whatever she did or had to endure. We love to go to yard sales together, make jewelry, scrapbook, watch movies and most of all just being together and laughing about life. She has been such an example to me over the years. She has always had a talent of turning her limited resources into beautiful possessions. Her small apartment is her Heaven on earth.
Laura met Ken about two years ago, feel in love and married last March. Ken was not a member of the church but was familiar with the missionaries. He took the missionary discussions, felt the spirit, read the Book of Mormon, and was baptised shortly after they were married. I had the honor of speaking at his baptism. His bishop also spoke. It was amazing the love he had for Ken. I am so pleased that my friends prayers have been answered. They are such a cute and loving couple. The sealing was beautiful and personal. I'm happy for you both.

SEEING THE SITES

A park in Norman has a river running through it with several hundred ducks and geese that flock around you when you bring bread. This was fun watching Coleman feed the ducks. He runs for the water, which he loves, and I'm running after him. Dad comes and picks him up and takes him up away from the river, Yes he is screeming, not happy about that!

We spent an afternoon at this campground in Sulpha. A river with little water falls winding around several large camp grounds that eventually lead to the lake. Beautiful!

" This is awesome"

We took Lance to see the Oklahoma Bombing Museum. Even though I have been 3 times, it still gives me chills. I have yet to see everything. Lance was saddened and depressed after the tour. It is an amazing site to see numerous videos of the after math. Live tapings only minutes after the bomb had taken 1/3 of the federal building off and damaged 144 other buildings, 14 had to be rebuilt. Reading testimonies of the survivors and seeing pictures of all the children that were killed, only minutes after being dropped off at the nursery that morning is truly humbling. Diane and I read a poem that was with one of the little childrens pictures that made both of us cry.

Went to ZIOS Itallian resturant for dinner. Endless warm bread with oil ,vinegar, and the best spices for dipping. Their food is Fabulous. Olive Garden doesn't come close!

Coleman loves to drive ! Everytime we open the car door he slips under you or around you so fast to get to the steering wheel. He has to honk the horn, turn on the wipers and signals and push all the buttons. I caught on real soon that you never let go of his little hand while your opening the car (or going anywhere) slip him into his car seat which he insists on buckling himself. He is quick, he is smart, and he knows how to push his mom and dads buttons!! All I can say after my 2 1/2 weeks is....Welcome to parenthood. They are doing a fabulous job, I was amazed at the never ending patience Lacey has. Chris is a temendous support and a fun dad. I do not worry about them at all. I had a wonderful time again and was grateful that Lance could join me for this trip. I miss them already. I loved laying with Coleman each night and sing him his favorite songs and the warm cuddely softness of Dominic, his smell, his grunts and his adorable face. Already making plans with Kim for our next trip. See you soon

I'M SMART

Coleman got his own computer. It's like a real computer only for kids. It comes with all sorts of learning games. He thought it was cool to sit with dad and his computer. So cute!

A NAME AND A BLESSING

We had a wonderful Sunday afternoon. Because we were in Oklahoma, Chris was given permission to bless Dominic at their home. Chris had most of his family there except Tammy and Byron's family who reside in Texas. During the blessing the spirit was strong, the room was silent, not even a squeek from any baby or child. Chris did a wonderful job giving Dominic a beautiful blessing. Both grandma's were in tears. The family all brought great food and we all had fun visiting. I feel blessed that Lacey married into such a great family. I have so much fun when I visit. I love Diane dearly. She is like a sister to me. We both had so much fun with Coleman and Dominic. To end this post, all I can say is that the day was PEACEFULL

FUN IN OKLAHOMA

We usually take Coleman swimming for a couple hours to give Lacey time for much needed rest.

Coleman has no fear of the water. He loves to jump in the shallow or deep ends of the pool. He loves to swim so much that it's a fight to get him out and leave even after 2 hours.

We drove around the lake in Purcell where Chris grew up. Their were lots of Mallard ducks and Geese.

We visited the gave site of Chris' father who died in 2005, one year after Lacey and Chris were married. Sad that he lost his father at such a young age before he had his cute little family. He misses him so much.

Dinner at VAN"S PIG STAND. They have the best smoked ribs around. I have to eat there everytime I visit.
